Monthly JALAF Challenge

💎 New Decade JALAF 💎
Author Last Post
Dearest Rockhounds
Well, THIS has been a new decade, alright!
Due to many of our members opting to attend the May meeting by Zoom, we will NOT have a JALAF or Show-N-Tell.

June’s JALAF will also depend on the state of our planet. I will be in touch.

I think we will begin 2021 with the missed JALAF and Show-n-Tell from this year.

Please stay safe so that we can all come together soon, happy, healthy and grateful.

⚒Howdy Rockhounds!!!!!🛠
💥Happy New Decade!!!!!💥
Tomorrow night is our first meeting for the year, I bet it snuck up on a few of you.

The JALAF for January is CRYSTALS💎💎💎

Mark Vining will be telling us why he loves crystals. Mark has encouraged everyone to put their name and the name of their crystal on their show-n-tell.
🎨In March we will be judging the best PAINTED ROCKS for a GOLD FEATHER in ADDITION to the regular monthly challenge.
So start painting!🎨
🎨All painted rocks will be displayed in a front case at the show to show the attendees how much fun we have.🎨

Please remember that entries in the JALAF competition must be something YOU found, YOU modified, YOU made jewelry from...
If you bought or inherited it as is, we would love you to show-n-tell the item.

If you are a BEGINNER and have been at a particular lapidary actively for LESS than A YEAR, you may compete in the BEGINNER class even if your entry has NOTHING to do with the month’s theme.
For instance; if someone who has been polishing and hunting rocks for 50 years JUST learns how to facet and wants to enter his/her latest ruby this month, they are welcomed and encouraged to do so!!!!!

Looking forward to a fun, informative, friendlyand adventurous new year with our WONDERFUL club!!!♥️❤️♥️❤️
